This orange Datsun 240Z has had only one registered keeper since being imported from California in 2018. It's a manual example with 2.4-litre engine running triple-Weber carburettors, and invoices show that nearly £16k was spent in 2019 preparing it for the 'Monte-Carlo Historique' regularity rally. The odometer shows 30,741 miles.
The extensive programme of work included a bespoke roll cage (costing £2495), air horns, brakes, suspension strip and rebuild, Alpine radio, Brantz rally trip computer, bucket seats with 4-point harnesses, Gaz Gold dampers, spot lamps, and an engine top and bottom rebuild that included new con-rod bearings and timing chain etc.
The car is also accompanied by an original owner's handbook, rally papers, and documents relating to its import and registration in the UK. These include a copy of the NOVA certificate and California Certificate of Title. It was manufactured in 1973 and first registered in the UK in November 2018.
This is a rare opportunity to obtain a head-turning example of a thoroughbred Z car, ideal for international competition.
